The Ministry of Antiquities has launched a project to documentize rock engraving in various parts of Egypt. Those parts include valleys in Sinai Peninsula، Western، Eastern Deserts and Aswan. Dr Hesham Al Laithy، Director of Enlisting the Egyptian Artifacts in the ministry، made clear that this project aims at protecting those engravings owing to their historic and archeological importance. They also situate in the depth of desert areas. Experts use the finest technologies to register those engraving on scientific basis. The experts started in fact to register engravings in Suez Governorate So it is difficult to reach and monitor them. Suez’s engravings include Nabataean alphabet، hieroglyphics and animal views. A commission of the Ministry of Antiquities has started registering those engravings as well.
