Port Said Criminal court adjourned on Monday the retrial of Former supreme Guide of Muslim Brotherhood terrorist group, Mohamed Badie and 49 other defendants over “Arab prison storming” case to February 19.
Noteworthy، Port Said Criminal Court sentenced Muslim Brotherhood Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie and top leaders Safwat Hegazi and Mohamed El-Beltagi to life imprisonment over the storming of a police station in Port said in August 2013.
The court sentenced a total of 95 defendents، including the Brotherhood leaders، to life. Another 28 defendants received 10-year sentences while others were acquitted.
The defendants were found guilty of inciting Brotherhood members in August 2013 to storm Al-Arab Police Station in Port Said in order to kill its police officers، steal the station’s weapons، and set detainees free. The events lead to the death of five people، while police personnel were injured.
