CEO and chairman of the Arab Contractors Company، Eng. Mohsen Salah، stressed that Ramses II Transferring process to Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) hall entrance was implemented in accordance to the latest global systems and techniques.
In statements to “Sada ElBalad” News website، Salah pointed out that Arab contractors Company is proud of Ramses II transferring process، which started in 2006، when the company moved the statue from its old site in Ramses Square to Grand Egyptian Museum.
The transferring process of the statue was admired by the whole world and contributed to conveying Egypt’s civilized image، Salah added.
Moreover، he stressed that the company took all precautions and measures necessary to transfer the statue of Ramses II in anticipation of any risks.
Ramses II statue was successfully transferred earlier today to Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) hall entrance، under the supervision of Antiquities ministry.
About 100 local and foreign TV channels covered the transferring process.
The celebration is attended by 40 foreign ambassadors، 7 ministers، and a number of officials، and cadres at Antiquities ministry.
The process of transferring Ramses II statue to its new place in the Grand Egyptian Museum took one hour.
The statue، which was discovered in 1820 in Badrashin، Giza governorate، was first placed in Ramses Square before being transferred to the Grand Egyptian Museum in 2006.
