The Cairo Nile Lions Club، chaired by prominent Egyptian actor، Samir Sabri، honored Friday evening، “The king” Legendary singer، Mohamed Mounir، at the Capital City Club، in Garden City.
Mohamed was honored as an ambassador for good، for his contribution to serving community issues، and willingness to participate in detection and free treatment campaign of more than 1000 students in different universities in Egypt.
A number of celebrities, officials, and public figures had attended the event including, poet Gamal Bekhit، Dr.Ismail Serageldin، Ambassador Moushira Khattab، prominent playwright and journalist Mohamed Salmawy، Minister of Immigration and Expatriate Affairs Nabila Makram.
The evening also witnessed the honoring of a number of public figures for their contribution in serving community issues، and willingness to participate in the detection and free treatment campaign of more than 1000 students in different universities in Egypt.
The 63-year-old legend recently performed live at Media City، Dubai، after his latest performance in Dubai four years ago، according to eventful.
Mounir’s latest musical work was in 2017، where he released his newest albums “We Don't Shoot”، on his social media accounts.
“We Don't Shoot” is a collaboration with Dissidenten، a German rock band known for their collaborations with Middle Eastern، African and Indian musicians.
The album consists of 7 songs.
Mounir latest collaborations were music video “One World”، which was released on his facebook account، August 18.
The song is about the refugees and created to help spreading a message of understanding Cultural.
One World was performed in three languages: Arabic، French and German.
