Egypt’s Petroleum Minister meets his South African counterpart to foster cooperation

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek Al-Molla received South Africa's Minister of Energy David Mahlobo، who heads his country's delegation to the second Egypt's International Petroleum Conference “EGPS 2018”
During the meeting، the two ministers discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries in the fields of oil and natural gas and the exploitation of mineral resources.
They agreed to form a common working group to promote joint cooperation in oil، gas and mineral resources.

Al-Molla stressed the importance of strengthening oil relations between Egypt and South Africa in the light of the available investment opportunities، pointing out to the parties keenness to exchange expertise and learn about the successful models and technologies enjoyed by each party in developing the fields of petroleum industry and mining.

For his part، Mahlobo stressed his country's keenness to participate in the Second International Petroleum Conference of Egypt. He added that the conference considered an important international forum in Africa for the major international companies and international and regional organizations in the petroleum industry.
He expressed his country's desire to strengthen economic ties with Egypt through opening up new spheres of cooperation and economic relations between the two countries.
