Abed Ezz El Regal، CEO of the Egyptian General of Petroleum، said on the sidle line of an oil conference held in Cairo today، Monday، that the first shipment of the Iraqi crude oil arrives at an Egyptian port next Thursday. He added that Egypt renewed contracting to purchase oil from Iraq for a year in January. The two countries agreed in April 2017 to sell 12 m barrels from the Iraqi oil to Egypt every year. Aramco، a Saudi oil corporation resumed pumping crude oil to Egypt in March 2017 after a break of five months. It is worth to mention that Egypt headed to import crude oil after her fields in the Western Desert and Sinai Peninsula were depleted years ago. This shipment was contracted last January.
