CAF sets Feb. 24 for African Super Cup

Confederation of African Football (CAF) set February 24 as a date for African Super Cup championship between Wydad Morocco and TP Mazembe Congolese.

The clash will be held on the pitch of Mohammed V Stadium، Casablanca at 6:30 pm (Cairo local time).

Morocco will host the clash because Wydad is the winner of the African Champions League title.

It is worthy to mention that Wydad was crowned African champions by beating its rivals Ahly، while Mazembe won the African Confederation Cup after beating Super Sport South Africa.

The CAF Super Cup (also known as African Super Cup is an annual African association football competition contested between the winners of the Total CAF Champions League and the Total CAF Confederation Cup.

The competition was first held in 1993 and is organized by CAF.
