Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) decided to allocate one and a half billion dollars for reconstruction projects in Iraq، Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubair announced Wednesday.
Al-Jubair pointed out that $ 500 million will be allocated to support Saudi exports to Iraq.
“On the instructions of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman we announce the allocation of one billion dollars for the reconstruction of Iraq and 500 million to support Saudi exports to Iraq،” al-Jubair was quoted as saying according to Al Arabiya satellite channel.
Meanwhile، UAE Foreign Affairs’ Minister، Anwar Gargash said that his country has allocated 6 billion dollars for the reconstruction of Iraq.
Gargash explained that UAE will invest in Rashid camp project and the port of Umm Qasr.
“UAE announced that today is the day of reconstructing of Iraq،” Gargash said on his twitter.
“UAE allocates $500 million for reconstruction of Iraq in addition to investing in Iraqi privet sector، Rashid camp project and the port of Umm Qasr with $ 5.500 billion،” he added.
Noteworthy، Kuwait hosts an international conference on reconstruction in parts of Iraq devastated by the war against ISIS، the state-run Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) said on Tuesday، according to Reuters.
