Ahmed Edris، a national hero of the 6th of October war paid a visit to the Nile Museum in Aswan today. Edris secured an immortal place in the collective memory of the Egyptians. He coded the main plan of the war by using a word from the Nubian language which relates directly to the Ancient Egyptian one. He and a number of his comrades inspected the various sections of the museum. Eng. Hisham Faghrly explained that the museum becomes a point of joint with the African peoples. Edris also visited the major mural sponsored by Nahmy Torathna” –protect our heritage- Foundation in Aswan which embodies his historic role. It is worth to mention that Edris was born in Nubia in the farthest southern tip of Egypt. He was bestowed with medallion Star of Sinai following the war by Egypt’s president –then- Anwar Sadat.
