Russia could play an important role in settling the current crises in the Middle East Region، Ambassador Hossam Zaki، Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League said on Monday. He added that the Arab region became full of a number of serious and complicated crises that require the urgent support of the international community.
In an interview with the privately owned ‘Russia today” TV satellite، Zaki said that Russia could politically intervene to settle the current crises in the Arab region. He added that Russia has a major military and economic power، as well as having a long history with the Middle East. Zaki added that crises in the Middle East are too difficult to be resolved by one side، pointing out that the Syrian، Yemeni and Libya’s files need a foreign support from the international community، foremost Russia، to achieve balance among the existing forces.
