Joint exercise "Cleopatra 2018" between The Egyptian and French navies kicked off today Tuesday in the Red Sea. The exercise is scheduled from 20 to 23 February، the Egyptian armed forces said on Monday. Major General Hisham al-Halabi، advisor to Nasser Higher Military Academy، said on Tuesday that the joint exercises between Cairo and Paris are one of military cooperation aspects، which aim to exchange experiences between the Egyptian and French armies.
in a statement to Extra News satellite channel، al-Halabi added that the joint exercises between the two countries are of great importance as the Egyptian army is one of the strongest armies in the region as well as the French army has an important role.
The armed forces are able to carry out a comprehensive war against terrorism، he noted.
