Egypt’s President، Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi received on Tuesday South Sudanese Minister of Presidential Affairs Mayik Ayii Deng، in the presence of Foreign Minister، Sameh Shoukry، and Acting Director of General Intelligence Service (GIS)، said Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi.
In statements، the spokesman added that the visiting minister conveyed the greetings of South Sudanese President Silva Kiir to president Sisi and handed him over a message on means of promoting bilateral relations.
Moreover، S. Sudanese Minister reviewed latest political developments in his country، and efforts exerted to restore security and stability، praising Egypt role on boosting stability in South Sudan، in the light of the historic relations between the two countries، added the spokesman.
President Sisi also underlined that relations between the two countries are strong، said the spokesman، adding that the president asserted on Egypt’s keenness to establish peace in S. Sudan.
Moreover، President Sisi noted that Egypt will continue to provide aids and technical support for South Sudan، to contribute to the development process in this brotherly country and meet the aspirations of its people for a better future.
