President And Al Fattah Al Sisi received on Tuesday African supreme Constitutional Courts heads who take part in The Second Conference that kicked off today Monday in Egypt and held under the chairmanship of Egypt’s Supreme Constitutional Court.
President Sisi welcomed African supreme Constitutional Courts heads and expressed his deep appreciation for the important role played by constitutional courts in Egypt and in the African countries.
Sisi stressed on the importance of the constitutional courts role in the development process in the continent، as one of the basic pillars of stability of nations.
Meanwhile، Head of Egypt's Supreme constitutional court Abdel Wahab Abdel Razek pointed out to the importance of the president's support for holding this conference. He pointed out that the number of participating countries increased to 43 this year، noting that this conference is considered as a qualitative leap in communication and exchange of experiences between the constitutional courts in the African continent.
On the other hand، a number of African court heads expressed their appreciation for Egypt's support represented in hosting the second conference of the African Supreme Constitutional Courts، pointing out its historic and pioneering role in supporting joint African action.
President Al-Sisi expressed readiness to help in establishing a digital communication system between the African Supreme Constitutional Courts. The Second Conference of heads of African supreme Constitutional Courts kicked off today Monday in Egypt. The conference is held under the chairmanship of Egypt’s Supreme Constitutional Court. The court spokesman، Ragab Selim، Stressed that the conference aims at more understanding and rapprochement among African countries، especially in the field of constitutional justice. The conference will discuss several topics، such as judicial cooperation، judicial traditions، protection of human rights، the role of the constitutional judiciary in confronting terrorism، as well as its role in confronting corruption، and organized crime
