Revenues of customs duties rise to EGP 8.9 in 4 months، Finance Ministry

Egypt’s revenues from customs duties rose to EGP 8.9 billion in the first four months (from July to October) of the current fiscal year 20172018، compared to EGP 6 billion in the proceeding period last year، an increase of EGP 2.9 billion، according to a report issued by the Ministry of Finance.


The statement showed that the volume of customs duties reached EGP 8.34 billion in the first four months (from July to October) of the current fiscal year 20172018، compared to EGP 5.7 billion in the same period last year.

The other tax revenues amounted to EGP 2.533 billion in the first four months (from July to October) of the current fiscal year 20172018.
Tax collections accounted for the largest share of the total revenues during the period from July to October، reaching 77.9 percent and recording EGP 139.6 billion، according to the report.

The report added that tax revenues increased by EGP 50.1 billion to record EGP 139.6 billion in the period from July to October of 20172018، compared to EGP 89.5 billion during the same period of 20162017.

Egypt’s revenue achieved an increase in the first two months of the current fiscal year (July and August) by recording EGP 74.5 billion.
