The Ministry of Finance announced the yields on 91-day and 266-day treasury bills at Sunday’s auction reached to 16.99 billion، The average yields on 91-day bills recorded EGP 8.75 billion representing 17.88 percent.
While the average yields on 266-day bills reached 16.94 percent، with an outcome of EGP 8.25 billion.
It is noteworthy that the Central Bank of Egypt، in coordination with the Ministry of Finance، issued EGP 15.5 billion in treasury bills on Sunday.
T-bills are usually issued every Sunday and Thursday.
For the current fiscal year، the budget deficit is estimated to record EGP 370 billion، planned by the ministry to be financed through treasury bills and bonds and through international and Arab loans.
