Magra El-Oyoun” area was established by Salah El Deen El Ayoubi، the first sultan of Egypt and Syria and the founder of the Ayyubid dynasty.

The area، then، was renovated by Sultan al-Nasir Muhammad ibn Qalawun in 1312.

Nowadays، there is an integrated project for the development of the area. The goal of this project is to restore the wall to its former status as one of the oldest historic wall and put it on the world tourism map.
