Khartoum holds meeting with Egypt، Ethiopia next April to ‘break political stalemate’

Sudanese Ambassador in Cairo، Abdel Mohamoud Abdel al-Halim said his country invited Egypt and Ethiopia to attend an official meeting on April 4 and 5 in order to break political stalemate’.

Sudan has invited the conflicting parties on water Egypt and Ethiopia to participate at a meeting in Khartoum on levels of foreign ministries and intelligence agencies chiefs.

The three countries will discuss water problem and Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).

A diplomat source said that the meeting will discuss all the concerns raised by Egypt and Sudan، in terms of filling the dam and the time period for filling it، as well as cooperation ways between the three countries.

Egyptian Foreign Ministry، Sameh Souhkry will attend the upcoming meeting.

Abdel Halim returned to Cairo early March to resume his diplomatic duties following two months of absence.

Noteworthy، Shoukry left Cairo on Monday for an African tour to South Sudan and Kenya for enhancing bilateral cooperation with the two brotherly countries.
