Nabila Makram، Minister of Immigration and Egyptians Expatriate Affairs، said that she has ended her foreign tour aimed to mobilize the Egyptians living abroad to participate in the presidential elections. She said that several meetings were held with the Egyptians abroad about the importance of participating in the presidential elections with a view to protecting the state. During these meetings، the minister showed them a video entitled “Hekayet Watan” that highlights the extent of progress and investments achieved during the last four years.
In a phone interview with “8 Al-Sobh” talk show aired on the privately owned dmc satellite channel، Makram added that the Egyptian consulates، embassies and the Egyptian Foreign Ministry worldwide are fully prepared to receive the voters. She added that، during her visit to Jordan، she discussed with the Jordanian Minister of Labor all the ways to facilitate the procedures and help the Egyptians during the presidential elections timetable. Makram also held similar events in Melbourne and Canberra where she met with members of the Egyptian community in Australia.
Egyptians abroad can vote in the upcoming Egyptian presidential elections on the weekend of the 16-18 of March at Egyptian consulates and embassies.
