The military court is considering today the trial of 292 defendants on assassination attempt of assassination of Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi and former Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Nayef in Military Case N. 148.
Prosecutors accused the defendants of the assassination of three judges in El Arish in a minibus، targeting the residence of judges supervising the parliamentary elections in North Sinai in a hotel، that resulted in the killing of two judges، four policemen and a citizen.
The prosecution also charged them with monitoring and targeting 101st Commandos Battalion in North Sinai with mortars several times.
The prosecution also charged them with planting explosive devices at Al-Arish airport، targeting armored vehicles of army forces and police as they passed through the road. They also being charged for targeting the third Police Department of Al-Arish using a bombed car led by the suicide bomber Ahmed Hassan Ibrahim Mansour.
Noteworthy، an officer was killed and two others were wounded following a shell attack on a Al Arish military airport in Egypt's North Sinai region last month.
The attack is believed to have happened while the Ministers of Defense and Interior were visiting Arish. The ministers survived the attack.
