MP Solave Darwish submitted draft bill stating that the husband shall be imprisoned for six months if he didn’t inform his wife that he married another woman.

“The bill will save the family and secure wives’ rights،” she claimed.

In remarks to “Al-Nahar” satellite channel on Tuesday، Darwish said that the wife has the right to know about the second marriage.

She said that، the bill is still proposal and is subject to debate in parliament.

She stressed that the goal of it is to “preserving the family and future generations.”

It is worthy to note that، Islam religion gives the man full right to marry just four women.

But Islam didn’t mention that the woman has any rights to be informed about the second marriage.

The second article of Egyptian Constitution is that، Islam is the official religion of the state and according that، the Parliament shall at the end issue laws according to Islamic laws.
