Official spokesman for the National Elections Authority (NEA) said that New Zealand will be the first country to witness the start of Presidential elections for Egyptians abroad، while the western coast of the United States of America (USA) will be the last area، in which the elections will be held.

Egyptians abroad can vote in the upcoming Egyptian presidential elections on the weekend of the 16-18 of March at Egyptian consulates and embassies.

He added that Kuwait is likely to witness the highest turn out of voters because of the large number of Egyptians living there، while the highest turn out of voters in Europe is expected in Italy، England and France due to the large number of Egyptians there.

He added that Egyptians’ participation in presidential elections is considered one of the most important mechanisms to complete the development and construction process launched by the Egyptians after two popular revolutions in January 2011 and June 2013.
He pointed out that every Egyptian who is living abroad during the elections timetable has the right to cast his vote، as long as he has a national ID card، a fixed passport with a national number or his name is included in the voters’ database and has a permanent residence in Egypt.
He stressed the NEA’s keenness to maintain the transparency of the electoral process through presenting a numerical survey of the names of those who cast their votes.
