Egypt's ambassador to Germany, Bader Abdul Atti confirmed on Sunday that the presidential elections are going well and there are not any obstacles on the 3rd day of the elections.
In televised remarks to “Sabahak Masry” TV show، Abdel Atti added that there is a heavy voters turnout from the Egyptian community members in Germany، noting that Egyptian expatriates’ participation in the presidential elections foils all the external conspiracies to destruct the Egyptian state.
Noteworthy، Between 16 and 18 March، Egyptian expatriates cast their ballots at 139 polling stations located in embassies and consulates in 124 countries.
In February، the National Election Authority (NEA) announced the final list of the candidates، including current President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and head of al-Ghad Party Moussa Moustafa Moussa. Sisi has chosen a star as his symbol in the election، while Moussa chose a plane as his symbol.
The poll in Egypt will take place between 26 and 28 March. Any run-off vote will take place between 19 and 21 April for expatriates and on 24 and 26 April in Egypt. The winner will be announced on 2 April.
