Egyptian Parliament Speaker Dr. Ali Abdel-Aal received in his office Sunday Japanese Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Manabu Horii and his accompanying delegation in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Parliament، Counselor Ahmed Saad. The meeting tackled enhancing bilateral relations between the two sides، especially at the parliamentary level.
Dr. Ali Abdel-Aal praised the good relations between the two countries and Japan’s role in supporting education and culture، in addition to supporting development projects infrastructure and energy fields in Egypt.
For his part، Manabu Horii expressed his great pride in this meeting، especially as this is his first visit to Egypt. The Japanese Deputy Minister also expressed his country's strong support for the current Egyptian policies that aim to achieve security، stability and economic development.
Manabu Horii affirmed his country's support for Egypt's policy in combating terrorism and fighting extremist ideologies.
The meeting discussed a number of crises in the Middle East region، as the two sides agreed on the importance of reaching final political solutions to settle these crises. They also agreed on the importance of achieving security and stability in the Korean Peninsula.
