22 Bulgarians injured as tourist bus overturns in southeastern Egypt

22 Bulgarian tourists were injured after a bus overturned on Marsa Alam – Edfu Desert road in southeastern Egypt، reports said.
Medical source told us that، ambulances rushed to the scene to transport injured tourists to Marsa Alam Hospital.
The source added that، medical emergency has been arising to receive the wounded and provide them with necessary treatment.
Noteworthy، deadly road accidents occur on a near-daily basis in Egypt.
Egypt has the highest rate of road accidents and related deaths in the Middle East، with an average of 12،000 people killed annually، according to the World Health Organization.
At least 12،295 were reported dead in road traffic fatalities during 2007، 70% males، 30% females، while 154،000 were reported injured in road traffic non-fatalities، within the same year، according to the official statistics agency.
