The Indian-Egyptian business Forum kicked off today Thursday in the presence of Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and head and representatives for major Indian companies looking forward enhancing their investments in Egypt. Shoukry left Cairo on Wednesday heading to India to lead Egypt's delegation in the 7th round of the joint committee between the two countries. The joint committee commenced its meetings today Thursday. A ministerial level meetings would be held on Friday to discuss bilateral relations and all possible ways to promote these relations in all fields، in addition discussing regional and international issues of common interest. Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said that the visit comes within the framework of historical relations between the two countries، pointing out to Egypt's keenness to develop cooperation with India in all areas، which was reflected in a series of meetings between Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi since 2015.
Shoukry will meet with Indian PM Modi during his visit to deliver a message from President El-Sisi on means of reinforcing bilateral relations between the two countries.
