Giza Governor Mag. Gen. Mohamed Kamal El-Dali visited a number of polling stations to ensure smooth voting process throughout the general election.
The inspection tour included a number of the governorate’s most populated areas، including Imbaba District، El Warraq District، and Kerdasa District.
He expressed satisfaction over the turnout in the first two days of the country’s presidential election.
Voting began in Egypt’s presidential election on Monday، the elections witnessed a heavy turnout of voters who lined up in queues in front of the stations.Polls opened at 9 a.m. local time on the first of three days of voting.
The three-day period for Egyptians living overseas to cast their votes ended on Sunday.
In February، the National Election Authority (NEA) announced the final list of the candidates، including current President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and head of al-Ghad Party Moussa Moustafa Moussa. Sisi has chosen a star as his symbol in the election، while Moussa chose a plane as his symbol.
The voting in Egypt takes place between 26 and 28 March. The winner will be announced on 2 April. Any run-off vote will take place between 19 and 21 April for expatriates and on 24 and 26 April in Egypt.
