Spokesman for the Cabinet Ashraf Sultan said that Prime Minister Sherif Ismail held a meeting today Wednesday with speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives Al-Habib Al-Malki in Cairo. During the meeting، the two sides discussed the bilateral relations، especially the economic ones between Egypt and Morocco.
In a phone interview with Extra News satellite channel، Sultan added that Egypt is very interested in the Moroccan experience in the automotive industry، pointing out that the two countries agreed to enhance cooperation in this field. He added that the two sides touched all possible ways to enhance trade exchange between the two countries.
The spokesman said that the meeting did not witness the signing of any agreements، but it was a good opportunity for a new impetus in relations between the two countries. It is noteworthy that، President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi received Moroccan Parliament Speaker، Habib al-Maliki، today، Wednesday.
Egypt’s Parliament Speaker Dr. Ali Abdel Aal and Moroccan ambassador in Cairo attended the meeting. Al-Maliki praised Egypt's successful efforts in fighting and confronting terrorism، Radi said.
Moreover، he stressed his country's keenness to strengthen bilateral relations with Egypt، as well as to continue consultations on ways to address the challenges facing the Arab nation.
The Moroccan Speaker pointed out that Egypt represents the main pillar of security and stability in the Arab region.
