Former Palestinian ambassador to Cairo Barakat Al-Farra said on Monday that The resolutions adopted by the 29th Arab Summit held in Saudi Arabia are very important.
He that naming this year's Arab League Summit as “Jerusalem Summit” emphasizes the Arab identity of Jerusalem، its Arab importance، and the centrality of the Palestinian cause to the Arab countries despite their internal concerns.
In a statement to Sada ElBalad website، Al-Farra added that the resolutions reached by the Arab summit need mechanisms for implementation، the Arab League is responsible for following-up the implementation، the former ambassador noted.
The final statement of the Arab League Summit did not accuse the Syrian authorities of reported use of chemical weapons in Duma، as was declared earlier by Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Jubeir، Sputnik reported.
On Sunday، Jubeir commented on the statement adopted at the summit، saying that the Arab League condemned the use of chemical weapons by Syrian authorities، however the released text of the document does not include the statement.
