British Parliament announced that Prime Minister Theresa May would be questioned over participating in US strike on Syria، without reference to parliament، the matter which was attacked by the opposition party.

Opposition parties said May had to get the approval of the British parliament before participating in the US-French strike on Syria، following the accusation of Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad to use chemical weapons، according to the BBC.

The British Labor Party said the military strikes “were illegal”، while British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson promised that parliamentarians would have time to give their opinion.

Noteworthy، UK prime ministers do not need to consult with parliament before military action، although they have done so since the invasion of Iraq in 2003.
