WB offers 0.5 million dollars to develop education، minister

The Minister of Education، Tarek Galal Shawki is holding now a press conference to review some points regarding the approval of World Bank ’s executive council for supporting the national comprehensive strategy to develop pre- university education sector in Egypt.
Shawki announced the council’s approval that was unanimously obtained to develop pre-university education worth half a million dollars، a huge support for education process and developing human resource in the country.
The Minister said، “We showed the vision of education reform to the World Bank’s team and discussed all the details to implement this vision”، “On its turn، the bank was assured that the ministry would implement it effectively after thorough discussions for the last ten months.”
Shawki pointed out that the education reform in Egypt will run for 5 years and will help in changing the education system starting from nursery schools. This will include new evaluation methods، curricula and teaching methods.
