Dr Tariq Shawqi، Minister of Education said that the population growth is one of main challenges face the educational system in Egypt. He pointed out that the current number of students exceeds 20 million. However، he anticipated that number may grow to 30 million by 2030. Shawqi addressed the members of Education Committee at the House of Representatives (HoR ) today، Monday. He affirmed that public budget couldn’t afford the mushrooming number of students. He warned that complicated and chronic problems downed Egypt’s ranking in the course of the last fifteen years. The minister revealed that main problems in the education system are intensity in classrooms، deteriorating of the infrastructure in schools and lesser qualification of teachers along financial and managerial.
