Foreign ministry: Strengthening Egypt's relations with Nile Basin countries is a cornerstone in its foreign policy.

Egypt’s foreign ministry spokesperson Ahmed Abu Zeid said on Tuesday that Strengthening Egypt's relations with its brothers in the Nile Basin countries، represents a cornerstone of its foreign policy.

on twitter، Abu Zeid said that he will travel with Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry to the Burundian capital of Bujumbura.

noteworthy:، This visit comes in the framework of Egypt’s keenness to enhance relations with Nile basin countries، and Africa continent in general، Foreign Ministry spokesman، Ambassador، Ahmed Abu Zaid said.

During his visit، Shoukry will meet a number of Burundian senior officials including; Burundian President، Pierre Nkurunziza، and Foreign minister، Abu Zaid added.

Noteworthy، Egyptian-African relations witnessed a noticeable momentum during the last 4 years.
