Egypt’s Foreign Minister، Sameh Shoukry stressed that Ethiopia has not yet adopted a neutral objective study، which proves that Egypt will not suffer any damages during Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) Filling، and operating.
In statements to “Al-Aan” program، aired on “Extra News” TV Channel، Shoukry stressed that the Egypt will continue to defend its people’s interests in Nile water، in many ways.
Moreover، Shoukry denied any suggestions claiming that Egypt is the hindrance of development. “We do not cling to rules، and we deal with transparency and credibility”، Shoukry stressed.
Noteworthy، Shoukry has invited Ethiopia and Sudan to hold a meeting on Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD)، but they didn’t respond till now، Foreign Ministry Spokesman، Ahmed Abu Zaid said in televised remarks, earlier today, Thursday.
Abu Zeid added that، the proposed meeting would be attended by foreign ministers، intelligence services heads، and Irrigation ministers of Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia.
