Aviation Minister and Canadian Ambassador
Egyptian Civil Aviation Minister Sharif Fathi met today Canadian Ambassador to Egypt Jess Dutton and discussed means to strengthen cooperation in the aviation sector and increasing flights between the two countries with the beginning of the summer season next year.
The meeting was attended by Chairman & CEO - EgyptAir Holding Company Safwat Musallam، and chairman of EgyptAir Maintenance and Engineering Eng. Abou Taleb Tawfik.
The two sides discussed lifting the ban on air cargo on EgyptAir flights to Toronto and reviewed the cooperation with the Canadian government in the sector، especially the recent aircraft deal signed between EgyptAir and Bombardier.
Based on this deal، EgyptAir will receive 12 Bombardier CS300 aircrafts.
The Canadian delegation inspected the Egyptian Air Academy where pilots، flight crews، engineers and technicians are trained.
At the end of the meeting، the Canadian Ambassador expressed his happiness and the fruitful cooperation between Egypt and Canada in the field of civil aviation.
