Egyptian exports to the Italian market increased in Q1 of this year to reach 391 million dollars compared to 375 million dollars during the same period last year.
Egypt's imports from Italy recorded a significant decline، reaching 661 million dollars in Q1 of this year compared to 835 million dollars in the same period last year، the Italian news agency NOVA quoted a government source as saying.
According to NOVA، the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Italy during the first quarter of this year amounted to $ 1.52 bln compared to $ 1.21 bln during the same period in 2017.
Italy is at the forefront of European countries importing Egyptian exports، followed by Germany، Spain، the United Kingdom and Bulgaria.
On the other hand، Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Tarek Qabeel، stated that Egyptian commodity exports to EU countries increased significantly last year amounting to about 8.1 billion euros compared to 6.7 billion euros in 2016.
