Egyptian-Sudanese Business Council to lift ban on goods: Chairman

Chairman of the Egyptian-Sudanese Business Council Riad Armanious revealed today that the council is striving in the coming period to lift the ban on agricultural and food products.
Armanios pointed out that the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Sudan amounted to about $ 570 million while the total Sudanese exports to Egypt about $ 80 million.
“The council will also remove all obstacles between Cairo and Khartoum to encourage trade and increase investment،” Armanious said.
The chairman، during the council’s meeting، called for the implementation of President Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi's plan represented in building railway and setting up logistic zones since Sudan is a gateway to neighbouring African countries.
“The Council seeks، during its first year، to increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries” the chairman remarked.
