Cairo Criminal Court adjourned on Tuesday the trial of 739 Muslim Brotherhood (MB) terrorist group members، including the Former group's Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie، in the case publicly known as “Rabaa sit-in dispersal” to April 28.
Prosecution accused the defendants of staging an armed sit-in، banditry، murder، rioting، possessing unlicensed weapons and terrorizing citizens.
MB supporters staged Rabaa sit-in to demand the reinstatement of Morsi، who was ousted in the aftermath of June 30، 2013 revolution، which saw mass protests across the nation demanding his removal.
The 'Rabaa Dispersal' case is not to be confused with the 'Rabaa Operation Room' case in which 14 men، including senior Brotherhood members، were sentenced to death for setting up an "operation room" at the Rabaa Al-Adawiya protest camp.
Since the ouster of Morsi، MB and its allied terrorist groups have been committing a number of terror attacks against state officials، policemen and army personnel across the country، but mainly in Sinai.
