Costs of manufacture in Egypt become competitive: GAID

Ahmed Abdul Razzaq، Chairman of the General Authority for Industrial Development said today that costs of manufacture in Egypt has become more competitive and many countries around the world have the desire to invest in the country.
"These are fruits of the policies taken by the government، such as currency floatation، exploitation of raw materials and VAT increase،” Razzaq stated.
He pointed out that the most prominent evidence of this is the unprecedented flow of requests for industrial investors locally and globally. Investors from India and China have expressed ambitions to invest in Egypt and this confirms that the economic and industrial policies in Egypt are on the right track.
Razzaq stressed، in a statement while participating in the Egyptian-British Business Association meeting which aims at introducing investors to new investment fields and promising opportunities، the role of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in improving the industrial investment climate in Egypt during the past period.
He also pointed out the role of the Egyptian government in supporting the private sector by creating healthy investment environment، stable economy، security and equal opportunities for businessmen.
