Ghana backs Morocco’s bid to host 2026 FIFA World Cup

Ghana has declared its full support for Morocco to realize the dream of hosting the 2026 World Cup، according to the Moroccan Football Federation.

On Tuesday، the Moroccan Football Federation (MFA)، through its official Twitter، reported that Ghanaian President Nana Odo on Tuesday received an African Union delegation comprising Ahmed Ahmed، head of CAF، Fawzi Lagege، president of Moroccan African Union.

Ahmed Al-Ahmed، president of Confederation of African Football (CA)، called on the continental countries to support Morocco to organize the World Cup.

Noteworthy، Moroccan Embassy in Cairo last week confirmed that the Arab League (AL) has unanimously decided to back Morocco's bid to host 2026 FIFA World Cup. The embassy said that the World Cup’s file is fully sponsored and supported by King Mohammed VI.

It also pointed out to the strong commitment of the Moroccan government to provide all conditions for the success of the world biggest football event.

The Moroccan embassy in Cairo pointed out that Morocco has all the chances to host the 2026 World Cup، as the Moroccan file is integrated in various aspects، logical and enforceable، as well as being in compliance with all the conditions and requirements stipulated by the FIFA World Cup.
