The Whites win 2018 Egypt Cup
The first football team of Zamalek Sporting Club ( nicknamed as the Whites) won the 2018 Egypt Cup after defeating their rivals of Smouha 6-5 over a game mounted this evening.
The two teams met on the pitch of Al Gaish Stadium at Borg El Arab in Alexandria, north west to Egypt .
Hossam Hassan scored the opener for Smouha in the 4th minute in to the match.
Kabongo Kasongo, a Congolese forward, scored the equalizer for the Whites in the last gasp of the match.
Mohamed Farouq, the referee of the game , sent Hossam Hassan of Smouha out the field for foul playing against a player of the Whites.
That player also challenged a decision of the referee.
The contesting teams went to extra two halves of time as they drew 1-1 over the game.
Farouq also decided that the two teams should perform another two halves of times in an extra match.
Either the Whites or their rivals could change the draw although they engaged in an exciting game.
So they went to the shootouts to decide the winner.
Zamalek’s players could convert the five penalty kicks.
However, one of Smouha players squandered the chance to score.
