British Secretary of State for Near East and North Africa، Alistair Burt hailed President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's decision on opening Rafah crossing throughout Ramadan.
"I strongly welcome Egypt’s announcement that the Rafah Crossing between Gaza and Egypt will be opened throughout Ramadan،" Burt said through his official Twitter account.
“Vital to improve the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza،” he added.
Noteworthy، President Al Sisi directed to open Rafah crossing with Gaza for the entire month of Ramadan.
The Egyptian leader has ordered the relevant authorities to keep the crossing open to ease burdens of residents of Gaza Strip.
“I issued directives to take the necessary measures to keep the Rafah border crossing open throughout the holy month of Ramadan in a bid to relieve some of the burdens suffered by our brothers in the Gaza strip،” Sisi posted on Facebook and Twitter.
