Military production Minister Dr Mohamed Al Assar said that the ministry is currently considering signing an agreement with a Chinese company to manufacture an electric car.
Al Assar added in his statements that a study is carried out for establishing stations and a system for cars shipment. He noted that any project related to the field of industry needs a good feasibility study before being implemented.
He pointed out that Military Production Ministry is keen to produce goods and products of the highest quality in appropriate prices for the Egyptian people. He pointed out that Investment Ministry is making great efforts in supporting local projects and industries.
Electric cars run at least partially on electricity. Unlike conventional vehicles that use a gasoline or diesel-powered engine، electric cars and trucks use an electric motor powered by electricity from batteries or a fuel cell.
Electric cars are also part of the past and their legacy goes further back than you’d think. The first electric car was built in 1837 in Aberdeen، Scotland and the technology enjoyed such success that electric battery-powered taxis were even introduced to the streets of London and New York late in the 19th century.
