Jordan’s King Abdullah II said on Wednesday that Egypt is the pillar of security and stability in the region.
Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi received Jordan’s king Abdullah II on Wednesday in Cairo، while the Jordanian leader arrived in Cairo airport in his one day state visit to Egypt.
Ambassador Bassam Radi، Egypt’s Spokesperson for the Presidency، said that a bilateral meeting was held، followed by a session of expanded talks attended by the Prime Ministers of the two countries and members of the two delegations.
Al Sisi stressed Egypt’s keenness to promote relations with Jordan.
Al Sisi also stressed Egypt's interest in coordination with Jordan on various issues of common concern، Radi said.
Al Sisi also affirmed Egypt’s keenness to advance the strategic and distinguished relations between the two countries، Radi added.
The two leaders also stressed that the continued absence of prospects for a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue will lead to further instability in the region.
They agreed that Jerusalem crises must be settled within final status issues on the basis of the two-state solution.
Following the talks، the President held a banquet in honor of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
