Education Minister Tarek Shawki confirmed that the number of Egyptian-Japanese schools which will be opened next school year will exceeds 40 schools across the country.
In a statement to “Sada Elbalad “ the minister said that the ministry will officially announce the expenses of these schools by the time the students begin to apply to the schools، which is scheduled to be next month.
The minister added that any reports published about the Japanese schools expenses are baseless.
This statement came as a response to the news published during the last hours on “Facebook”, claiming that the Egyptian-Japanese schools expenses will reach EGP 6000, and that only 28 schools will be opened next year because the construction works are not finished yet. The minister explained that all these reports are absolutely wrong.
The schools will focus on teaching the Egyptian curriculum، while implementing some distinctive features of Japanese education، such as focusing on music، arts and collective games، as well as teaching cleanliness and self-reliance.
Enrollment in the schools started this year، and classes will begin in September with the 20182019 educational year.
Even though they are called “Japanese schools”، students will not learn the Japanese language in them. Instead، they will study the same exact curriculum as other international schools.
