Player of the Season and Golden Boot winner in the recently-concluded edition of the Premier League، Mohamed Salah has been nothing short of brilliant in the past one year. If Liverpool has gone on to become the team we know today، Salah has been as pivotal as their coach Jurgen Klopp in their success this year، mensxp website reported.

Thus، when the Reds locked horns with Real Madrid in the Champions League final، it's needless to say that their fans would have once again expected Salah to lead from the front. And، that's exactly what the Liverpool talisman. Combining with Sadio Mane and Firminho، the Egyptian - with his speed and quick exchanges - helped his side dominate and penetrate the Madrid defence early on.

Struggling to contain the Reds' front three، Madrid needed a quick solution to get back in the game. While many would have liked that solution to be technical or even a tactical change، no one would have expected it to be as dirty as it eventually turned out to be.

The 30th minute of the game saw Sergio Ramos throwing a ridiculous challenge at Salah. The Madrid captain was seen hooking Salah by the arm and then dragging him sideways. The momentum forced Salah to land awkwardly and، as a result، the Liverpool forward dislocated his shoulder to the sheer displeasure of his fans.
After some consultations with thephysician، Salah tried to carry on، but eventually realised he won't be able to continue further. Salah left the pitch in tears with his hopes of playing for Egypt at the 2018 World Cup in Russia now in jeopardy.

The replays of the tackle had already made Ramos 'Public Enemy No 1'، but while Cristiano Ronaldo was seen consoling Salah، the Madrid captain was shamelessly caught laughing and smiling at the Liverpool star as he walked off the field. "Ramos amused there، not sure what's going on there،" football pundit Gary Lineker said as the footage was played on BT Sport.

"He (Ramos) was mildly irritating at other times in the match as well. Ramos، extraordinary player that he is، can be like that،" he added. On the other hand، football fans، too، condemned Ramos' unprofessional conduct on the social media.
