Eng. Sherif Ismail، the Prime Minister، held a meeting، yesterday Sunday، to follow up the implementation works of the government district that will established in the New Administrative Capital.
The meeting was attended by ministers of housing، communications، transport، planning as well as head of the Armed Forces' Engineering Authority and representatives of some concerned bodies.
At the beginning of the meeting، Sherif made clear that the relocation of the government to the administrative capital will be accompanied by a comprehensive development process to develop the work mechanisms of the administrative apparatus of the State and provide a better atmosphere for servicemen to make the best use of their potentials.
The head of the armed forces engineering authority briefed the prime minister on work progress inside the government district which is built over 500 feddans.
The district will include the establishment of several government buildings and headquarters of the cabinet and the parliament.
The government district project is carried out by 12 Egyptian contracting companies.
On the other hand، Planning Minister Hala Al Saeed presented a report about the coordination and cooperation efforts among various ministries and authorities to define all needs and requirements of each body. She added that all ministries will be relocated to the new capital at the same time then government-affiliated bodies will follow suit.
