PM meets Antiquities Minister to check on work progress in GEM

Egypt’s Prime Minister Sherif Ismail chaired a meeting today Sunday to follow up the work progress in the Grand Egyptian Museum’s (GEM)’s project in the attendance of Minister of Antiquities Khaled Al-Anany.

The Prime Minister also held a meeting today morning with the Supreme Council for Urban Planning and Development in the presence of Hala Al-Saeed، Minister of Planning، Follow-up and Administrative Reform، head of the Urban Planning Authority and a number of bodies concerned to follow up the government plan during the coming period.


Eng. Sherif Ismail، the Prime Minister، held a meeting، yesterday Sunday، to follow up the implementation works of the government district that will established in the New Administrative Capital.


The meeting was attended by ministers of housing، communications، transport، planning as well as head of the Armed Forces' Engineering Authority and representatives of some concerned bodies.

The 117 acres museum is set to be the largest archaeological museum in the world; it will have a passage between the museum and the Giza plateau to facilitate the movement of tourists between the two attractions which are about two kilometers apart.
