Egypt Air starts today organizing four charter flights to Russia to bring 650 Egypt`s national team fans in the World Cup against Uruguay. The game will start on Friday afternoon as one of group A matches.
The airport authorities will receive the passengers departing to Russia at Terminal 2، and their flights procedures will be finished on different times within the airline's airlift to carry about 3،000 passengers on 19 charter flights as well as basic flights.
It is noteworthy that the Egyptian airline company EgyptAir intends to put on 19 charter flights to Russian cities which will host World Cup matches involving Egypt، EgyptAir CEO Safwat Musallam said on Saturday.
"There will be 19 additional flights for the transportation of three thousand fans wanting to support the [Egyptian] national team at the World Cup. On June 10 we will put into service flights to Russia and on June 28 flights back to Egypt،” Musallam said، as quoted in an EgyptAir official statement.
Around 20 thousand fans are expected to come to Russia from Egypt. Egypt، placed in Group A، will begin their World Cup campaign with a fixture against Uruguay on June 15 before taking on Russia and Saudi Arabia on June 19 and 25 respectively.
