FIFA has announced that it is confirming the right of people to watch their national teams while playing in the tournament.

In a statement released in Thursday، FIFA has confirmed Egypt's right to broadcast 22 matches in the Russian World Cup on the terrestrial channels

Egypt's Channel 1 and Nile Sport will braodcast the Egyptian team's matches. Channel 2 and Nile Sport will air the remaining 22 games.

The opening match of the World Cup will be held today at 5 pm between Russia and Saudi Arabia.

On Friday afternoon Egypt will clash with Uruguay at 2:00 pm (Cairo local time).

Noteworthy، Egypt has said it will "oblige" FIFA to allow it to broadcast 22 matches of the 2018 World Cup which begins in Russia on Thursday، challenging the control of global soccer's governing body over broadcasting rights.

Egypt's Competition Authority (ECA) said FIFA، being the sole organisation able to grant broadcasting rights for the World Cup، was in violation of Egyptian freedom of competition laws، the official gazette said on Tuesday.

Egypt is participating in this year's World Cup.
