Mohamed Bin Rashid says، ‘first Emirati astronaut will be sent to ISS in few months’

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum، UAE Vice President، Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai announced today the signing of a landmark agreement to send the first Emirate astronaut to the International Space Station in the coming few months.


The Dubai Ruler took to Twitter and said، “The son of the Emirates is capable of embracing space mission. Our vision، which we began 12 years ago to develop the national space sector، is beginning to bear fruit.


Bin Rashid also said، “Emirates vision of space is beginning to be completed through the manufacture of the Mars probe، completing the first national fully-fledged satellite manufacturing complex، training of Emirati astronauts، and the acquisition of an integrated scientific and research system.

“In 2021 we will celebrate 50 years of our nation and we will deliver our achievement to future generations so that their dreams can always begin from heavens.”
